The Haines Shoe House located in Hellam, Pennsylvania was built in 1948 by Colonel Mahlon N. Haines as an outlandish advertising gimmick. It is a wood frame structure coated with cement stucco. The interior consists of five different levels and contains three bedrooms, two baths, a kitchen and living room.
