Ho. Ho. Ho. Jolly Green Giant.
Ho. Ho. Ho.
Jolly Green Giant.

Ho, ho, ho! Meet the Jolly Green Giant Statue, towering over Blue Earth at a whopping 55.5 feet tall. His six-foot-long feet would wear a size 78 shoe—which sounds like a nightmare at the mall.
Funny thing is, the Green Giant company isn’t actually based here. The statue exists thanks to a local radio station owner who kept hearing travelers ask the same question: “Where’s the Green Giant?” Around the same time, Interstate 90 threatened to bypass town, so locals figured the best way to get drivers to stop was to build an enormous smiling vegetable man.
Honestly? Fair plan.
Since 1979, the Giant has been doing exactly that—standing tall beside the highway, waving at travelers, and probably terrifying a few small children along the way.
