Paris, Texas. NO. Not that Paris.

There are fifteen towns named Paris in the U.S., and a few of them thought, “Why not build an Eiffel Tower too?”
In 1993, Paris, Tennessee and Paris, Texas both did—starting a completely ridiculous rivalry for the tallest outside France. Texas built theirs 65 feet tall. Tennessee came back with 70.
So Texas slapped a giant red cowboy hat on top—tilted just enough to win by an inch.
Lacking an iconic tower-topper of it’s own, Paris, TN will have to remain content at being home to The World’s Biggest Fish Fry.
The, Las Vegas built one 500 feet tall, and it was game over.
Au revoir, pardner.
